"There are no strangers in here, just friends you haven't met."

- Roald Dahl

 I'm Sarah.

An Indiana/New Zealand/anywhere you want me wedding + portrait photographer with a heart for adventure and human connection. I'm such a fan of honesty and not taking yourself too seriously. I love watching hard for magic in the in between moments. I believe that beauty can be sought out and found in every waking moment we're given - and I believe that most anything can be turned into a positive (favorite mental exercise). I love meeting new friends and then proceeding to ask them a million and one weird questions , so be prepared for that.  Days off are usually filled with long walks, meeting friends (or strangers) over coffee, watching something creepy, or stalking flight prices for trips that might never happen.

I practically grew up with a camera in my hands; and the natural progression from running around our backyard with my Dad's old Minolta to becoming a wedding photographer ultimately comes from my overwhelming desire to preserve the things that mean the most. I love that my couples hire me for very specific reasons - namely, that they love the moments + people within their day over any of the details and they know I can capture that.

For me, photography is a way of making the intangible, tangible. The way we love those around us is often felt, sometimes seen……but being able to capture that for you to keep is one of the greatest joys I know.

Let’s make some magic together, ok? Cool.

- RANDOM FACTS OF NO CONSEQUENCE-

I view money in terms of plane tickets.

When I was a kid I went through different phases of wanting to be a ballerina, an actress, a surgeon, and a worm farmer when I grew up. Still holding out hope for the worms.

I'd choose a picnic over a fancy dinner any day.

I’m fairly famous for my pie making abilities.

It is very hard to gross me out. Try it. Photo evidence from a bygone time >>>

I will make you an enneagram test if you haven’t already. You’ve been warned.

I feel like 90% of my existence is buying strangers coffee and asking them deep questions while they drink it, and I’ve never loved anything more.

I delight in nonsense.

If you give me anything handwritten, I’ll keep it forever.
